Chicken Masala Indianised Spring Roll- Global Kadai

This is the Indianised version of the Spring Rolls. I used Chicken mince n made a spicy masala, n used them as filling for Spring Rolls. I usually make this filling for making Murtaba or Stuffed Parotta but omitted the egg here. You can use this filling to make samosas n sandwhiches too. Didnt have enough time to decorate them, too the photograph in a hurry.

Churros con Chocolate Caliente

Does the name sound something funny, its just Spanish Doughnut with Spanish Hot Chocolate.
Churros is a famous Spanish breakfast n is accompanied by Chocolate Caliente. In Spain Churros is made with a special instrument called Churrera. Crispy Veggie Sago Vadai

What a long n hot weekend it was, just didnt have time to sit in front of the laptop. Last week on Thursday had some leftover cooked rice from what i made for lunch. Since the next day was Friday the rice wouldnt be of use, was just thinking what do with a cup of rice. Kara Sev- ICC

When Srivalli announced Kara Sev for this month's challenge I was very happy coz This is one of our fav snack n I prepare them now n them. Cauliflower leaves Pakoda/ Fritters

Some events really make us think imaginative. I've never imagined that I would be making pakodas out of cauliflower leaves which we usually throw away. This pakoda was perfect for a tea time snack n was delicious. Sending these pakodas to Nithu's Best out of Waste event

Mixed Sprouts And Soy Cutlets/ Patties

Still had some sprouts in my fridge and thought why not make them into cutlets. Didnt want to use regular potatoes for filling hence used soy kheema and to bind them I used oats powder. Added few spices and voila! the cutlets didnt let me down. They were soooooo delicious. You can also use soy chunks if you dont have soy kheema but see to it that it comes to about 1 cup. Instant French Doughnuts

Again with a easy recipe. I made these with Day old French Bread  and It tasted like Doughnuts and hence the name. Very easy to prepare and under 15 - 20 minutes. Perfect for breakfast or snack or for kids lunch or snacks box.

Sagu Biyyam Murukku/ Javaarisi murukku

This was last month's challenge for ICC but couldnt participate coz of chicken pox. But I wanted to make them coz they sounded soo crispy. So on Friday I made this Murukku and to be honest they were really really tasty. RA and jr loved them a lot and my son came asking for it again again " Amma give me muruk"

Baked Cheese Samosas

Since I had these cheese samosas in a local restaurant its been my favorite but you know its loaded with calories so I wanted to make a baked version of it with low fat cheese slices. It tasted equally good. I used Kraft's low fat cheese slices. Sending it to Divya's sunday-snacks-healthy-snacks.



You need:

Readymade Samosa leaves   4nos
Low fat cheese slice               2nos

Nagore Vaada




If you have leftover pulao in your house then vaadaa is the perfect  snack to make. I learnt this recipe from my mother-in-law who makes very tasty vaadaas. This dish is very famous in roadside shops in Nagore, a coastal town in Tamilnadu. Its crispy outer and soft inner makes it irresistible. Though it is very tasteful with prawn, you can also make without prawns.
