Umm ali & Muhallebi
What could be more delightful than a tasty n divine dessert, Yes Iam speaking about the two famous dessert Muhallebi n Umm Ali. Each Arabic Country has it own version of Muhallebi n UmmAli so its like a common dessert to all the Arqab world. Umm Ali is a simple yet delicious dessert made with puff pasrty n milk. Jelly Custard
As the name tells this is just our plain old jelly with custard, I once saw this dessert in a supermarket, A famous Dairy company had introduced this Dessert. My son loved this jelly custard n I thougtht why not try them at home. So what I did was set strawberry jelly in small glass cups n later poured custard n set them in the fridge. We enjoyed them alot n my son very well enjoyed his small cup

Luqaimat/ Saudi Arabian Sweet Dumplings
Luqaimat- This is nothing but cute little dumplings in syrup. Arabic food is always my favorite n every time I visit local fairs here We would never miss buying these Luqaimats made by the local beduins here. The beduins would make them hot, hot and serve us with syrup. These dumplings are crisp and sweet on the outside n soft inside. Im on cloud nine coz I made my fav arabic dessert at home.

Fruit custard
This is a very easy n tasty dessert to prepare, Add fruits to your choice, there is no stead fast rules. I wanted to have a colourful combo so I added Grapes for green, orange for orange, banana for white, n marashino cherries for red colour, n decorated with marashino cherries. More than anything adding the cherries adds a new dimension to the custard and gives a new taste. this is my son's

Easy Bread Rasmalai
Quite an unusual dessert but very easy to make. I once had this dessert when travelling in Indian Airliness and was just amazed by its taste. The combination of the salty taste of the butter and the sweetness of the custard is simply superb. Bubur Kacang Hijau (Sweet moong dhal porridge)

This is a speciality dish from my mother. Pandan leaves is found in east asian countries and it also plays an important role in flavouring their dishes be it sweet or savoury. The leaves can also be used in our cooking also in making non-vegetarian dishes and payasam.

Vattilappam
Vattalappam is the Indianised version of custard pudding. This can also be served as a dessert. During Eid they used to make this and serve with Jallar the lacy thin pancake.The vattalappam is soft and tasty. You can also add saffron to make kesar vattalappam.
